2021 Programme of Events

We are delighted to have another exciting and varied programme of talks and visits. Following our successful 2020 Programme of Zoom talks, these will once again be organised as online talks. We are hoping, however, that we might be able to host some live talks in Aldborough later in the year but this will depend very much on national restrictions.

Information on how to access these will be sent to members in the newsletters or by contacting secretary@romanaldborough.co.uk

2021 Visits

Once again we have organised a programme of visits to Roman sites and museums throughout the North of England. We look forward to a guided tour of the Roman section at The Yorkshire Museum in April followed by a tour of Fountains Abbey led by National Trust Archaeologist Mark Newman in May. In September Andrew Birley, Director of Excavations at Vindolanda will give us a personal tour and in September we look forward to a return visit to the impressive Hull and East Riding Museum. We hope that you are able to join us on some or all of these.
