The Friends of Roman Aldborough
Our aims are:
- To promote Aldborough as a Roman site of major national historical interest.
- To educate and inform local people and the wider community about the nature and importance of the Aldborough site and to develop and encourage a community heritage awareness within Aldborough and the surrounding area.
- To encourage and facilitate the further archaeological investigation of Roman Aldborough.
- To work with English Heritage (EH) with a view to expanding and developing Aldborough Roman Town and the adjoining museum.
- To encourage visitors to come to the site and develop educational programmes for children and other groups.
